Bio written up by someone with an obvious COI. Is he notable? (NB. Not a copyvio - permission has been given.) — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 22:58, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - it's an icky self-promotional CV, but... this character is indeed notable, per WP guidelines, I believe. There's significant coverage in major media outlets, including Forbes and The New York Times, going back forty-- yes, forty-- years. J L G 4 1 0 4 03:17, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. The search linked by Jlg4104 clearly shows that there has been substantial coverage of the subject in reliable sources, even if many of them are not available online. I'm rather surprised that the nominator managed to miss that when going through the procedure at WP:BEFORE, which says, "when nominating an article for deletion due to sourcing concerns, make a good-faith attempt to confirm that such sources aren't likely to exist".
