Aldnoah.Zero Season One
| I would’ve watched this anime nearly a decade ago if it weren’t for all the negativity I saw around the series second half. This anime is the definition of underrated. I don’t get how people were dogpiling this. Welp, now I learned to not believe bandwagoners anymore |

What? This anime is absolute garbage. The characterization was terrible and the series was filled with convoluted narrative nonsense. There are way better mech series out there.

| I always ignore hype. I don’t really understand why people like Franxx~ Has been a while since I watched Aldnoah Zero. If I recall correctly, the world building is alright, my biggest issue is the protagonist, can be considered a Gary-Stu~ Mech designs are dull as compared to Gundam, Macross. Even isekai such as Muv-Luv or Knights&Magic have better mech designs than Aldnoah Zero. Furthermore, Aldnoah Zero has been outclassed by other mecha war stories such as Gundam, etc. I won’t recommend Aldnoah Zero nor Lelouch Of The Rebellion as entry into mecha genre. Both have similar issues. But Lelouch Of The Rebellion is more nonsensical, pilots magically coming back alive after their mechs blew up. Well, other than some of the UC Gundam anime, mecha genre is kinda weak nowadays as compared to decades ago. |

@NewestPersonHere Random question but can I watch UC Gundam without watching the original series? I know there’s some timeline that connects them all, but not sure how relevant it is to enjoying UC by itself. I gave the original a try a few years ago and it wasn’t doing it for me
| @Reshiram_IX Not recommended to watch other UC Gundam, without original. The original Gundam anime is very important to the whole timeline. The original Gundam anime starts slow with all the characters adapting to the current war situation. Amuro is an anti-sue so he takes longer to develop into a warrior as compared to other characters such as Hayato or Sayla. The timeline that connects all Gundam timeline is Correct Century in Turn A Gundam. |
